The Human Behind True Growth Wellness
Hi, I’m Becca. I started this practice because I believe women need to put themselves back in the center of their own lives.
What I Believe About Therapy
Therapy doesn't have to feel clinical to work. I want our sessions to feel like a real conversation, one where you can be honest without performing for me, and where I'll push back on you (kindly) when I think you're wrong about yourself.
I also don't believe you're broken. I think you adapted. Somewhere along the way, you learned that being agreeable, capable, and low-maintenance was the safest way to move through the world. That adaptation might have served you once. Now it's probably running the show more than you'd like, and you're ready to take some of that control back.
That's the work we'll do together: reprocessing what happened, reconnecting with what you're actually feeling right now, and reclaiming a sense of yourself that isn't built entirely around what you do for everyone else.
Somewhere along the way, most of us got the message that being selfless was the goal: take care of everyone else first, manage the household and the friend group and the team at work, make sure everyone else is okay before you even ask if you are.
Some women get that message louder than others, depending on what they lived through growing up, and it sticks even harder.
If that's you, you're in the right place.
About Rebecca Arcidiacono, LICSW, LCSW
I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and the founder of True Growth Wellness. My style is down to earth and practical. I'm not interested in playing the role of the distant expert. I'm going to be a real person in the room with you (well, on the screen with you), who happens to have the training to help you actually get somewhere.

I'm licensed to provide online therapy to clients in New York (LCSW 093845), Connecticut (LCSW 11935), Massachusetts (LICSW 127074), and Maine (LCSW 22415).

My path started at Northeastern University, where I got my BS in Psychology. From there, I went to the Smith College School for Social Work, known for its strong clinical program and its roots in psychodynamic therapy. That foundation still shapes how I think about the "why" behind your patterns.
I trained intensively in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which, combined with psychodynamic work, are the backbone of my insight-oriented talk therapy service.
I'm also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) through The Center for Excellence in EMDR Therapy, and I'm continuing toward advanced certification because this work matters enough to keep learning.

Before starting my own practice, I worked across outpatient clinics, intensive outpatient programs, residential care, and inpatient psychiatric hospitals. I've sat with people at some of the hardest, most vulnerable moments of their lives. That experience is part of why I don't rattle easily, and why I trust the process even when a session gets hard.
Since founding True Growth Wellness in 2021, I've focused on adult women dealing with overthinking, self-esteem struggles, and the kind of relational stress that traces back to something that happened long before adulthood.

I blend two directions at once: top-down work (the thoughts, the insight, the "aha" moments) and bottom-up work (what's happening in your brain and your nervous system, whether you can name it or not). Combining both means we're not just talking about your patterns, we're actually working to change how your brain and body respond to them. That's what makes room for you to actually feel like you're enough, so you don't have to keep proving it to yourself or everyone else.

I'm a wife, boymom, and eldest daughter. I live in Connecticut with my people and my dog, Sunny. I love being outside, running, and exploring national parks with my family. I also like to eat out, watch reality tv, have a drink with friends, and scroll. And like every client I sit across from, I'm a work in progress too.
